Publisher review:EzyFit - A free curve fitting toolbox for Matlab The Ezyfit toolbox for Matlab enables you to perform simple curve fitting of one-dimensional data using arbitrary (non linear) fitting functions. It adds a new menu to your figure windows, which allows you to easily fit your data with predefined or user-defined fit equations, including interactive selection of your data (outliers removing).
This toolbox also provides a set of command-line functions to perform 'programmatically' curve fitting: you just have to type something like showfit('c a/x^n') and EzyFit gives you the values for c, a and n, and shows you the curve!
Installation:1. Download and unzip the EzyFit Toolbox in the directory /toolbox/ezyfit of your Matlab installation. If you upgrade from an older version, first empty the previous directory.2. From the menu 'File > Set Path', click on 'Add Folder' and select the ezyfit directory. Click on 'Save' and 'Close'.3. Restart Matlab. From the 'Start' button, select 'Toolboxes > EzyFit' to check that the toolbox is correctly recognized by your system.4. If you upgrade from an earlier version, type 'rehash toolbox' to make sure that Matlab refreshes the function cache.5. If you want to always have the Ezyfit menu in your figures, type 'efmenu install'. This will create or modify your 'startup.m' file in the directory /toolbox/local/ of your Matlab installation.Examples:plotsample power % a power lawshowfit('c*x^n');undofit % if you are not satisfied... plotsample powco % a power law with exponential cutoffselectfit('c*x^n; log');
EzyFit is a Matlab script for Mathematics scripts design by Frederic Moisy.
